Thunderchief DGC

3.2 out of 5 stars

Course Details

Mostly open and long.  Originally, just a few extra holes to give distance to the original Veterans course, Thunderchief became a full 18-hole course in 2012.  It’s distance and open layouts is a perfect compliment to the tight fairways of Veterans.  Skilled players love Thunderchief’s long holes and challenge.

Thunderchief is a great course for a true long arm DG'er, but this MA-60 players finds it's length somewhat overwhelming. There is some redundancy for many of the layouts that just require a "pull back and let'r rip type drives". Water is definitely plentiful and the main natural challenge of the course where there is a lack of trees and other natural hazards. But, length and water are challenges enough, and for those who throw long and hard and like a little "risk/reward", Thunderchief will fit your bill!
